insights from a daughter of the King, teacher, farmer's wife, and Mommy

About Me

It's hard to say who I am.  Not because I don't know, but because I'm not very good at writing about myself.  I grew up loved, spoiled my husband says, on a farm in north west North Carolina.  I graduated in the top ten in my class, four sport athlete, proclaimed christian, homecoming court -- an all-american girl you could say, I moved to Raleigh after graduation to attend North Carolina State University (Go Pack!).  I fell on my face, hid from God, my family, crawled around and searched for something I could never find here on earth - God's Love, Grace, and Forgiveness.  In 2005, I found what I had been missing and my life changed, Jesus took me, cleaned me up, and called me one of is His own.  He has sent me on two daily missions currently - I mold minds while teaching them 8th grade social studies in my day job, I mold my own 2 childrens mind in my all day and night time job.  I will continue my journey to serve and spread His Glory, so that others may find His Joy.

I created this blog in 2005 with the name life from here, fast forward to 2010, I figured out what to do with it, where here was, and I continue to share my journey.  Come, stay a bit -- and be sure to come back soon.

If I could, I would drink coffee from 8:00 - 9:00, while in my pjs on my front porch, exercise from  9:00 - 10:00, read from 10:00 - 1:00, cook something new for lunch, play with my perfectly behaved children the rest of the day.....but life from here is not so perfect......BUT I love it just the same!

I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. Philippians 4:11

  1. Writing a blog gives vent to expression and also there is someone out there who needs to read what you have to say !!
