insights from a daughter of the King, teacher, farmer's wife, and Mommy

my daddy, me, my daughter

i've never struggled with my identity
Karrie with a K
daughter of Claude Jr. and Vickie
this is how i introduced myself at age 7
i knew who i was, where i came from , and where i was going
i will be a teacher like my grandmother
i will attend NC State University because well its the best
i am a child of God

but with Jesus no identification required
He knows how to spell my name
how many hairs are in my head
He knows who i am, where i've been, and where i'm going....even before i do
and He loves me all the same

"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine." Isaiah 43:1

  1. It is wonderful to know exactly who you are, and even when you don't know to just trust that someone else does. I like your "leave me some honey comment." I am new to Lisa Jo's 5 Minute Friday, and I didn't do it correctly this time. I linked it to my blog, instead of finding a place to write myself. (I'm still new to blogging, too, as you can see.) Oh well, maybe I'll try again next Friday.

  2. Hi Karrie, just stopping by to say how delightful your blog is. Thanks so much for sharing. I have recently found your blog and am now following you, and will visit often. Please stop by my blog and perhaps you would like to follow me also. Have a wonderful day. Hugs, Chris

  3. Love this, Karrie! I try to remind myself that even when others think of me in a way that is not true...God knows who I really am. I know who I really am. And isn't that really all that matters :)

I miss you. I think of my CWMS family often and smile. Please tell everyone I send hugs! I also blogged has been awhile. If you have time, go give me a read.

Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. Proverbs 16:24 Leave me some honey.
