joining the radical

we have started a book study in sunday school

Radical, the small group study by David Platt

i watch as they squirm in their seats
i hear voices i've never heard speak up

"i'm not called to africa
i'm not called to be a missionary"......but you are

how will we join together
how will we join with Him

have we every really came to Him?

come back and join me as we go through this radical book
and see if we are radically changed

this verse was the first to get the discussion going

“If anyone comes to me and does not hate father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters—yes, even their own life—such a person cannot be my disciple.   And whoever does not carry their cross and follow me cannot be my disciple."  Luke 14:26-27

do you love God so much that all other retionships come close to hate?

anyone have experiences with the book radical?
anyone have experiences with a book study?

  1. Oftentimes, the silence surrounding difficult discussions is smothering, deafening, convicting. Sometimes, it is into the silence that He speaks the most. I pray that the others are silent because they are listening to Him. He will give them words, and a song.

Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. Proverbs 16:24 Leave me some honey.
