insights from a daughter of the King, teacher, farmer's wife, and Mommy

in case you haven't stood in awe of God lately

it never fails that when i get too sure of myself or get to thinking that i might be something
God brings me to my knees not because i'm not special to Him
but because He is so much more special than me
it's not about me
we studied creation this week in sunday school and the teacher in me came out as we read the first verse of the bible,
"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."
This whole book is about Him.
This  is His story not Adam's or Eve's, not Moses, or Paul's, or mine.
HIS
by Him, for Him, about Him
because He is an awesome God

from the prophet Isaiah chapter 40

“To whom will you compare me?

Or who is my equal?” says the Holy One.

Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens:

    Who created all these?
He who brings out the starry host one by one
and calls forth each of them by name.
Because of his great power and mighty strength,
not one of them is missing.

thank you Jessica for sharing this with me

i hope you stand in awe today and every day
because He is worthy of our praise

  1. Dear Karrie
I often am amazed at the wonder, majesty, greatness and glory that is our God. And yet, He looks down the road with longing for all His prodigal children to return home! Incredible!

  2. How insignificant am I that there is so much praise in the universe and yet God loves me and each and every one of us so much. This is a very moving message...something I had never known before. Thanks for sharing Karrie and Jessica.

Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. Proverbs 16:24 Leave me some honey.
