paul

i had a friend say the other day "who is this guy Paul anyway? i need to know about him"

the past few weeks i've spent sometime getting to know Paul, the person
we are all familiar with his words
run the race
love is the greatest of these
the letters
the examples
i can do all things through Christ who strengthens me
we know these, we recite these
but who is this guy who wrote them

paul was born around the same time of Jesus, under the name of saul
he was a roman and later a pharisee
he was known for his treatment of Christians
belittling and stoning them
but on a road to damascas he became blinded with Jesus
and changed
showing nothing but God's love every where he went after that
it took on many mission trips
to prison
and eventually to his death
all for the love of his beliefs and His God

paul calls us to action
he calls us to love
he calls us to be ambassadors for God
he was invested in God
wrote 13 books of the bible and lead many to God
what are you invested in?

Owen sang yesterday at church.  His friend Kayte stood
with him for moral support.
For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 2 Corinthians 5:14-17

i'll talking about my investments
so come back wednesday as i share from a recent read of
see what others have been saying about it here

  1. Such a loaded question..."what are you invested in" It's scary sometimes to see where my time, where my money goes. I justed started A Mutiny Against Excess. I'm excited but a little scared too!

  2. Great question! We are called to be people of action, people who are a reflection of the very nature of Jesus. That is DEFINITELY something worth being invested in!

Coming from Hear it on Sunday/Use it on Monday.

  3. Blinded by Jesus! I love that picture. May this be my constant state of existence. Thank you so much for linking up, dear. :)

Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. Proverbs 16:24 Leave me some honey.
