2011 in review

It is so hard to believe there are just a few days left in 2011.  These are a few of my favorites of the year to tell our story of the wonderful year of two thousand eleven.
These commandments that I give you
today are to be upon your hearts.
Impress them on your children.
Talk about them when you sit at home
and when you walk along the road,
when you lie down and
when you get up.
Deuteronomy 6: 6-7
Owen and his great great grandma.  Family is and will always be important to our lives.  She turned 90 this year.

 My son, keep your father’s command
and do not forsake your mother’s teaching.
Bind them always on your heart;
fasten them around your neck.
When you walk, they will guide you;
when you sleep, they will watch over you;
when you awake, they will speak to you.
Proverbs 6:20-23

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Romans 12:9-12

One of my best friends, Jamie, got married.  Owen and I were honored to be part of her day.

For the LORD God is a sun and shield;
the LORD bestows favor and honor;
no good thing does he withhold
from those whose walk is blameless.
Psalm 84:11

A friend loves at all times,
and a brother is born for a time of adversity.
Proverbs 17:17

Best Friends.

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.
Psalm 139:13

Owen kisses his baby sister, for which he has prayed for.

Every good and perfect gift is from above.
James 1:17

These three truly are my greatest gifts.

We love because he first loved us.
1 John 4:19

Let them always love one another as brother and sister.  They are precious and good in his sight and mine.

Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old they will not turn from it.
Proverbs 22:6

Owen started school this year.  So hard to believe.  They grow so fast.

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Psalm 139:14

She grows everyday.  She is beautiful and I thank God for lending her to me for her time here on earth.

May the Lord, the God of your fathers, increase you a thousand times and bless you as he has promised!
Deuteronomy 1:11

Thank you Lord for the blessings of 2011

  2. I remember thinking my oldest sons lips were permanently attached to my stomach when we were expecting the brother he had prayed for for 3+ years (6 year age difference) - and each son after that did the same thing:) That picture of best buds sitting on the steps - priceless! What a year in blessing - believing with you for many more next year!
