Ordinary

Some days, which are few and far between, we have nothing to do.  We get to come home and just enjoy each other.

These are the days that I am most thankful for.

These are the days that I see my blessings the most.

The rush of life often fogs my view.

But it is in the ordinary that we find the extraordinary.

On these days, I pray:

Lord, help my children learn to appreciate each other, and enjoy the times when we have nothing to do.

Help them be content with their blessings and not get caught up in the rat race.   Because it is not money, fame, and fortune that make this world turn.  But, You!

May they keep their eyes on You and strive to serve You and not themselves.

Amen

Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. Proverbs 16:24 Leave me some honey.
