beauty

I received an email a couple of days ago from Shanda at A Pause on the Path encouraging us to pick up our cameras and search for beauty and link up to her hop......so I thought I can do that.....well as the weekends do...slowly come and quickly leave...i missed the hop....but I did see some beautiful things this week and weekend and I had to share...

I took my students on a field trip this week to Herring Ridge, a local YMCA camp...we hiked the woods and saw beauty in the trees, in the smells, we found this turtle.....they saw beauty in his creation and i saw beauty in them

We had lunch with my grandparents and great grandma.  These two ladies are two of the most beautiful people I know.  Addie is in the arms of her great great grandma and she is looking at her great grandma.  Beauty in all ages, we are beautiful to God no matter how young or old.

Stop. Look. Listen. Beauty in his creation.  The sun sets and the moon rises.  So amazing his handiwork.  A new season, a cool breeze in the air, yet He is unchanged. Steady.

Friendship. A Sunday filled with his presence  I felt it in Sunday School first, as we studied Jesus' first miracle, water to wine.  We dug into the scripture, we laughed, we understood, we listened, we learned....we left closer to Him and each other.  Beauty.  I felt it later as I watched fellowship among our children at the pond on our farm.

This is my life....this is the beauty I walk past every day, my children, my family, the farm on which I live....help me see, Lord....in their faces, in the laughter, in the trees, in the wind, in the dirt.....help me stop look listen to your voice in the beauty around me......

  1. I have a red foot tortoise in my yard. He is beautiful. Yet, not more beautiful than the grandparents. I loved this! Thank you for linking your beauty to mine!

  2. I glad I found the beauty you have shared today. The generations of family from the eldest to the youngest is a life celebration that is beautiful indeed. God is faithful.

  3. This is where I settled in your post today: A new season, a cool breeze in the air, yet He is unchanged. Steady.

As the world changes, as I change, and people around me change, I can cling to Him. Strong. Steady. Unchanging in His goodness and mercy.

  7. Yes we should stop, look and listen. God brings so much beauty to our doorstep if we only take the time to open our eyes and ears!

Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. Proverbs 16:24 Leave me some honey.
