insights from a daughter of the King, teacher, farmer's wife, and Mommy

children

i needed rest today
i needed forgiveness
i find the sadness creeps in
the guilt
the dread
the uglyiness
but then i see their faces
their redeeming graces
they hold no grudges
no prejudices
they love
they laugh
they truly are God's gift
no wonder Jesus said

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."

  2. You poet. You hit on one of the amazing qualitiets of our kids. How refreshing that each day is new.

It's been too long since I've been here. Now you have such an adorable new header. I'm all about red, and your picture has some great textures.

I've been in need of some rest myself lately.

  5. Guess this is partly what Jesus was talking about when he said we should become like children: such pureness

  7. How true. Thank you for this reminder. We can learn so much from babies and little children.

  8. Thank goodness they don't hold grudges...especially when I have a Medusa-mom moment!

Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. Proverbs 16:24 Leave me some honey.
